
We are two weeks away from the 35th Annual Bill Flodberg Mt Madonna Challenge 6K Walk/Run, 12K & 18K Trail Run.
Hosted by the South Valley Running Club, this terrific annual event takes place in the relentless and beautiful hills of Mt Madonna County Park, in Gilroy, CA.
The scenic courses take participants through groves of Oak, Manzanita and Redwood trees.
Please come out and join about 150 trail runners (and hikers), from veterans to newbies, for a relaxed, fun, and rewarding day.

The 6K (3.7 mile) loop course has an elevation gain of 700 feet.
The 12K (7.4 mile) loop course has an elevation gain of 1100 feet.
The 18K (11.1 mile) course combines both the 6K and 12K courses for a total elevation gain for 1800 feet.
I am this year’s race director, after assisting last year, and placing 2nd in the 12K the year before. I loved the run so much, I decided to help put it on!
My partner, Lynn, and I have run the course over the past two days, and I can tell you the trails are in great shape.
