Today was very cool, to say the least. I get it now. I have experienced why Boston is different, the holy grail of marathons if you will. I don’t have the energy for a race report or sharing of stories. That will have to wait. Bottom line, 3 hours and 43 minutes! A PR by over a minute, and I qualified for next year! This was not the plan. It just sort of happened. More importantly, as a newbie at Boston, the spirit of this race, the passion of the spectators, and the will of the runners is positively overwhelming. It was, in a word, incredible.

My friend and frequent running partner, Craig. We are in the village about 15 minutes before moving to the start line.

About 40 minutes after crossing the finish line. Took me that long to get back to my parents. Mom took this one at the all important, post-race, Starbucks.

Congrats on a great race!
